As stated in answer to Question No. 400 on 23 October 1979 (Dáil Debates vol. 316 No. 3 columns 409-410), the Commissioners of Public Works are awaiting the completion by Waterford County Council of certain statutory requirements in relation to coast protection proposals for the area referred to.
