Vol. 319 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fishery Patrol Boats.

11.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the number and type of boats which will patrol the Irish waters for all regional fishery boards.

The regional boards will, for patrol purposes, have at their disposal a variety of boats which are at present operated by the boards of conservators and during the salmon season they will have the support of Naval Service vessels. Should any regional board feel that additional vessels were required it would be open to that board to seek the necessary finance in their annual budget.

Question No. 12 is for written reply.
