Vol. 319 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sandymount (Dublin) Telephone Service.

25.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if the telephone engineering relief scheme undertaken for the Sandymount area of Dublin in 1977 and scheduled for completion by the end of that year has been completed.

Because of industrial action, flood damage to cables and the volume of other more urgent work, this scheme has not yet been completed. It is expected, however, that it will be completed late this year.

26.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of new Dublin telephone lines installed since July 1976 in the following parts of Sandymount, Dublin: Claremont Road, Claremont Park, Tritonville Road, Sandymount Road, Farney Park, Beach Drive, Beach Road, Beach Avenue, Seafort Gardens, Marine Drive, Seafort Avenue, Seafort Villas, Seafort Cottages, Seafort Parade, Seafort Terrace, Dromard Terrace, Newgrove Avenue, Gilford Road and Park Avenue.
