asked the Minister for Transport if he intends to issue a licence under the Foreshore Act, 1933 to allow the Dungarvan Urban Council, County Waterford to reclaim part of the estuary at the Causeway, Dungarvan and if he will make a statement on the delay in granting a licence.

The publication of the proposal led to a number of objections which had to be considered in consultation with the various interests concerned. I am now satisfied that it is in the public interest to grant a lease and I hope shortly to send to Dungarvan Urban District Council, for their approval, a draft lease under the Foreshore Act, 1933, in respect of the area of foreshore involved for the purpose of reclaiming it for amenity purposes.
