Vol. 319 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Donegal Water and Sewerage Schemes.

207.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the county council water scheme extension from Keelogs to Castlegory, Inver, County Donegal and when the necessary finance will be sanctioned.

There are no proposals in my Department to extend the public water supply from Keelogs to Castlegory, Inver. However, the Deputy may have in mind a group water supply scheme to serve 20 houses in the area which was proposed in 1972 and designed in 1974 on the basis of a gravity supply from the county council reservoir at Keelogs. The group have not proceeded with the scheme and I understand that the county council are awaiting the submission of a revised proposal.

208.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the application of the town of Laghey to the Donegal County Council for a sewerage supply scheme, will be sanctioned.

There are no proposals for this scheme at present before my Department awaiting decision.
