Vol. 319 No. 3

Written Answers. - Company Activities Investigation.

201.

asked the Minister for Justice if it is proposed to investigate the activities of the company (details supplied) in relation to work which they have undertaken in recent years for Dublin Corporation; if his attention has been drawn to the dissatisfaction at the manner in which this company have been carrying out their business for local authorities; if public moneys have been mis-spent; and if he will make a statement on the present situation.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that certain complaints made to them about some of the alleged activities of the company in question are being investigated with a view to seeing whether there is evidence of any criminal action. The Garda Síochána are not concerned in any other aspect of the matters referred to in the question and I, as Minister for Justice, have no function in relation to them.
