Vol. 319 No. 3

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

247.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when arrears of pension in respect of her sister who died in 1978 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

The sister of the person concerned was a contributory old age pensioner who died on 23 October 1978. Her last pension order was cashed on Friday 20 October 1978 in respect of the week ended 26 October 1978. As her pension was paid weekly in advance, no arrears of pension are due.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when an old age pension will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of a claim to contributory old age pension from the person concerned. It appears from his insurance record, however, that he is qualified for pension at a reduced rate. When the claim form which has been sent to him is returned duly completed, his claim will be processed immediately.
