In so far as the Deputy's question relates to the law relating to civil liability for animals, this was the subject of a working paper published by the Law Reform Commission in November 1977. Any recommendations for amending legislation which the commission may make in their final report on the matter will, of course, be considered. In so far as the question relates to law on roads and road traffic, this is a matter for the Minister for the Environment and I would refer the Deputy to a Dáil question answered on this aspect on 14 March 1979 (Cols. 1456-7).
