asked the Minister for the Environment the total number of itinerant families provided with (a) serviced sites and (b) local authority dwellins, by (i) Dublin Corporation, (ii) Dublin County Council and (iii) Dún Laoghaire Borough Corporation, for each of the past ten years.
Written Answers. - Itinerant Families Accommodation.
Accommodation for travellers' families in the Dublin area is provided on a co-ordinated basis by the three local authorities concerned, that is, Dublin Corporation, Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire Borough Corporation. I do not have figures in the form requested but the available information is as follows:

Due to the fact that the families move frequently to and from sites it is not possible to state the total number of families who have occupied the units. The number would be far in excess of the total number of units provided.
Local Authority Dwellings—At least 40 families were accommodated in standard housing accommodation up to 1974, and for the period beyond that date up to 31 December, 1979 40 additional families were so accommodated as follows:—
