Vol. 319 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of Farm.

23.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the steps he intends taking to alleviate a flooding problem for a person (details supplied) whose lands adjoin those of the Forestry Department; if he is aware that the person concerned is willing to co-operate in having the necessary drainage carried out as his crops were destroyed last year and the land in question cannot be cultivated until it is drained properly.

An investigation of the problem as it exists in relation to the land of the named person and that of the Forest and Wildlife Service is in hands. In the light of the findings a decision will be reached and communicated shortly.
