asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of home improvement, oil conversion, water and sewerage grants in County Wexford.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to question No. 8 answered on 5 March 1980. The position is unchanged.

135.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware that a person (details supplied) in County Galway has written four letters to his Department regarding a reconstruction grant and has not had a reply to date and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The letters referred to cannot be traced in my Department. However, payment of the grants approved in this case will be made shortly.

137.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of home improvement grants in County Wexford where work has been completed and final inspections made, due to be paid by his Department and when payment will be made.

The number of such cases is 112. Payment will be made as soon as possible.

140.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A grant cannot be paid in this case until the required certificate of income, requested from the local authority, has been received.

141.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The grant will be paid when the defects notified to the applicant have been rectified and the house has been reported by my Department's inspector to have been completed satisfactorily.
