Vol. 320 No. 1

Written Answers. - State Grants to Companies.

206.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in respect of the companies (details supplied): (a) the total amount of State moneys paid or given in grants by any agencies under his control, (b) if any State contracts have been placed with these companies, (c) the number of employees and registered premises and (d) the items manufactured or services provided.

I am advised that these companies, which provide engineering products and design, at present provide employment for 71 people, three persons being employed in each of two companies and the balance in the third.

The total amount of grants approved for the companies by agencies under my aegis is £4,555 of which £3,032 has been paid.

No contracts have been placed with the companies by my Department or agencies for which I am answerable.

The address of companies registered premises is freely available from the Companies Registration Office, Dublin Castle.
