Written Answers - Deceased Person Inquest

185.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will institute an inquest based on the pathological reports on a deceased person (details supplied), the reasons no apparent police action followed when such action would appear to be warranted, if he will now assist in clarifying the real cause of death of the deceased and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The decision whether or not an inquest should be held on a deceased person is not a matter for me. I understand that the Garda did investigate the death at the time and found no evidence that any offence had been committed in relation to the death.
