260.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is proposed to provide a telephone kiosk at Pullathomas, Ballina, County Mayo.

Subject to confirmation from the local authority that it has no objection to a new site selected recently, it is expected that a kiosk will be provided at Pullathomas within the next 12 months or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the action being taken to repair the faults on the telephone line of a person (details supplied) in Dublin, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The subscriber's report of intermittent unsatisfactory service on her line is under examination at present and it is expected that maintenance attention being given to the line should remedy the trouble within the next fortnight or so.

262.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephones will be provided to applicants in the Sandyford Industrial Estate, County Dublin.

Service will be provided shortly for four waiting applicants. Provision of service for the remaining 38 must await development of the estate to a stage when it will be possible to install the necessary cables.

Question No. 263 withdrawn.

266.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin, and if priority will be given in this case in view of the applicant's profession.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the up-to-date position regarding the telephone exchange at Edgeworthstown, County Longford, and when telephone service will be provided for applicants in this area.

An additional switchboard was installed recently at Edgeworthstown and additional trunk circuits have also been provided to serve the exchange there.

Service will be provided for about 40 of the waiting applicants during the next three to four months, and for the remainder progressively thereafter.
