asked the Minister for Justice if the recent arms and explosives finds in Counties Louth and Monaghan were the result of increased exchange of information between the security forces north and south of the Border.

It is not the practice to disclose what sources of information the Garda Síochána may or may not have had in relation to a particular detection.

I am asking why there was this number of promotions in these periods and why the Minister is evading this question also.

I am dealing with Question No. 22. I have replied to Question No. 21.

I am dealing with Question No. 21 and I am wondering what the Minister has to hide in this case.

Would the Minister say what he has to hide about Questions Nos. 20 and 21.

I am informed by the Commissioner that due to prior engagements and other duty commitments, it will not be possible for the band to accept the invitation to play at the Festival of West Cork in Clonakilty, on 3 and 4 July.

I have had enough cross-questioning in contempt of the Chair. In the opinion of the Chair these questions do not merit any more attention than any others.

That is not true. The only matter that has occured in contempt of the Chair was the attempted ruling by the Minister that it was a separate question when the Chair had not so ruled.

The Deputy is cross-questioning across the floor without any attention to the Chair calling the next question. I do not know in what way he may try to justify that.

I do not know how the Chair can justify taking a ruling from a Minister that something is a separate question, allowing the Minister to rule, and——

I have called Question No. 23.

But we have not heard about—
