asked the Minister for Justice (a) the number of prison officers recruited each year for the last ten years, (b) the number of prison officers who resigned from the prison service in the same period, (c) the number of prison officers who retired from the prison service in the same period, (d) the number of prison officers employed in the prison service on the 31 December of each year for the same period, (e) the number of prison officers recruited in 1980 to date and (f) the number of prison officers it is planned to recruit for the remainder of 1980 for all prison establishments under his control, including Loughan House but excluding the Curragh Military Detention Centre.
