339.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if any industry has been secured for the advance factory at Keel, Achill, County Mayo.

340.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism when it is proposed to build advance factories at Newport and Bangor Erris, County Mayo.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 338, 339 and 340 together.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that work on the construction of their advance factories at Louisbourg and Keel, County Mayo, is almost completed. Both these factories are being vigorously promoted by the Authority for suitable industrial projects.

The Authority have no plans at present for the building of advance factories at Newport or Bangor Erris. The IDA are, however, already promoting a 14-acre site, owned by the county council, at Bangor Erris and are continuing their efforts to identify a suitable site for in-dustrial development at Newport.
