Vol. 322 No. 5

Written Answers. - Killiney Itinerant Traders.

374.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the hardship being caused to residents of Seafield Road, Killiney, Dublin and its environs by the presence of itinerant traders encamped with cars and caravans on the car park at Seafield Road; and the action he intends taking in the matter.

Local authorities are enabled by section 101 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, to make by-laws, for the control of car parks provided by them. I understand that Dún Laoghaire Corporation have not made by-laws in respect of the car park to which the Deputy refers. It is a matter for the corporation to review this position should they wish to do so.
