Vol. 322 No. 6

Written Answers. - Disability Benefit.

306.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in the payment of disability benefit to a person (details supplied in County Waterford).

The processing of the claim for disability benefit by the person concerned from 1 April 1980 was inadvertently delayed pending the completion of inquiries regarding an earlier claim for occupational injury benefit. All disability benefit due on the claim to 9 June 1980, the date of the latest medical certificate received, has however now been paid.
