Vol. 322 No. 9

Written Answers. - Nationality Certificate Fees.

15.

asked the Minister for Justice the amount, having regard to the relative frequency with which different classes of certificates have been issued in the past under the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1956, which it is expected will now be received in a 12-month period in consequence of the recent increase in the fees.

It is estimated that the amount per annum collected under the new fees order will be about £18,000. This is based on the assumption that the number of persons applying for certificates or making declarations of acceptance of Irish citizenship as post-nuptial citizenship remains the same as in recent years.
