asked the Taoiseach the total value of processed and unprocessed fish imported and exported in 1979.

Imports of fresh, chilled or frozen fish were valued at £2.5 million and imports of processed fish were valued at £10.3 million in 1979. Exports of fresh, chilled or frozen fish were valued at £21.1 million and exports of processed fish were valued at £11.3 million in 1979.

The value of fish, processed and unprocessed, imported into the EEC in the years 1977, 1978 and 1979 according to the Statistical Office of the European Communities was as follows:
