There are no public or civic buildings under the direct control of my Department. It is my general policy, however, to encourage as far as possible the exhibition of works of art in, for example, new hospital buildings, and in that connection a competition is at present under way for the execution of a sculpture at the hospital at present under construction at Beaumont in Dublin.
