Vol. 322 No. 11

Written Answers. - Small Industries Scheme.

215.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if, in view of the success of the IDA's scheme of small industries in west Waterford, he will request them to provide land for similar schemes in Kilmacthomas. Portlaw, Stradbally, Bonmahon, Tramore. Passage East and Dunmore East and throughout mid and east Waterford.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the statistics available show that there has been a considerable increase in both 1979 and to date in 1980 on the 1978 outturn of jobs approved for County Waterford under its Small Industries Programme. The Authority are continuing their intensive promotion of small industries in Waterford and are fully prepared to assist suitable projects for any of the towns in the county, including those referred to by the Deputy.
