Vol. 323 No. 3

Written Answers . - Fuel Burner Grants .

462.

asked the Minister for the Environment if applications for grants for conversion to solid fuel burners are being refused where a dual system which could burn either solid fuel or oil is being installed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

: The provision of a dual system burner using solid fuel and oil does not debar an applicant from obtaining a special heating grant provided the other requirements of the grant scheme are met.

463.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for the conversion to a solid fuel heating system will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

: The grant will be paid in this case when an inspection has been carried out and payment has been certified in order by my Department's inspector. The inspection will be done as soon as possible.
