The allocations will be increased to provide for (i) such further pay awards as may be approved and such costs as may arise under the proposals for a Second National Understanding for Economic and Social Development and (ii) non-capital costs associated with the commissioning of new units, as appropriate.

1 Includes provision for Alcoholic Unit at Belmont Park.

2 Includes provision for Child Guidance Clinic, Rathgar.

3 Includes provision for St. John's Residential Centre, Kiltimagh.

(iii) Physically Disabled

The information sought in respect of physically disabled in institutions is not available in the Department. Apart from the Cheshire Homes which cater mainly for a number of the physically disabled in the younger age groups, there are no institutions which deal solely with the physically disabled. They are cared for in long-stay institutions, hospitals and homes—both health board and non-health board. A survey of physically disabled persons in residential care, which is under way at present, will provide most of the information sought by the Deputy.
