Vol. 323 No. 8

Written Answers . - South West Cork Premium Payment .

438.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in the payment of the amounts due under the scheme of premiums for conversion of dairy herds to a farmer (details supplied) in South West Cork; and when payment will be made.

: Processing of this application was impeded by difficulties in procuring details of milk supplies, and veterinary certification of the death of two dairy animals and also by the demise of an official dealing with the case. Following receipt of instructions on 15 September 1980 from the applicant as to banking arrangements for the premium payments, the stage has been reached where the first instalment of the premium can be lodged to the applicant's bank. A payable order will issue in the course of the next ten days.
