: In response to my Department's circular letter requesting from local authorities information on the extent of problems in relation to unfinished housing estates in their area, Westmeath County Council indicated that problems had been experienced in the completion of Willow Park Estate. Details of a scheme to assist local authorities to complete and take in charge those estates where insuperable problems have arisen in achieving their completion are at present under consideration. Details of the scheme will be notified to local authorities and it will be open to Westmeath County Council to make an application in respect of any estate which meets the criteria for the scheme.
