Vol. 323 No. 9

Written Answers . - Telephone Service .

376.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a transfer of a telephone line, already provided to a premises but not now required, will be made for a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

: The applicant involved applied for telephone service on a residence basis. There was no reference to a business content which would warrant priority treatment. If it is now the case that the application is for a business telephone, reallocation to him of the line now available on a priority basis over other and earlier applicants in the vicinity will be considered. Inquiry is being made in this regard.

377.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who needs this service urgently for his catering business.

: It is expected that service will be provided within the next three months or so.
