asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in south west Cork; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay in the payment of this grant. The grant was paid on 24 October 1980 following inspection after receipt of notification on 15 July 1980 that the applicant was in occupation of the house.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in south west Cork; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay by my Department in this case. The file is with the local inspector and payment will be made on receipt of his report, provided the conditions governing payment of new house grants have been complied with.
