asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a grant under the small farm incentive bonus scheme has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the final inspection took place in July 1978.

The papers relating to this grant were received in my Department on 3 November 1980. Payment will be made shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a farm modernisation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The grant at issue has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that no cattle headage payments have been paid to date in the Sligo-Leitrim Constituency; and if he will have these grants paid immediately so that the hard pressed farmers may have their money before Christmas.

Following clearance by the EEC, payment of the increased grants announced on 12 September under the 1980 cattle headage schemes in the disadvantaged areas commenced on 28 November. Of 10,200 applications received in Sligo-Leitrim, about 8,000 will receive their grants before Christmas; the remaining herdowners whose applications are found to be in order will be paid as early as possible in the new year.
