Vol. 325 No. 1

Written Answers. - Charges on Boatyards.

357.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry how a bank succeeded in registering a first charge on Killybegs Shipyard; and in view of the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 372 on 18 June 1980 if it is now the position that BIM can only register a first charge on Baltimore Boatyard.

I am advised that there is no charge registered against Killybegs Shipyard Limited. Neither can a charge be so registered until such time as the freehold interest in the property has been transferred to An Bord Iascaigh Mhara in the first instance and documents of title handed to the purchasers.
