asked the Minister for the Environment (a) the total number of applicants for local authority housing accommodation in Limerick city at present; (b) the number of houses built there in 1980 to-date; and (c) the number of new houses which will be available there for occupation in 1981.

(a) The total number of approved applicants for rehousing on Limerick Corporation's housing list on 30 September 1980 was 810. (b) The number of local authority dwellings completed in the year to 31 October 1980 was 145 and it is expected that completions will reach 224 by the end of the year, providing, with casual vacancies, for the rehousing of 374 families in 1980. (c) The corporation expect to rehouse approximately 220 families in 1981.
