Vol. 325 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Sligo Estate.

194.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the length of time the Taaffe Estate, Shancough, Coolaney, County Sligo, (ref.S26836) is in the possession of the Land Commission; and when it will be disposed of.

Possession of this small property, containing four hectares, was taken by the Land Commission in 1971. The land was approved for allotment in 1975 but the smallholder to whom it was offered refused to accept it. It has not since been found practicable to dispose of the small area involved on its own and the intention now is to allot it within the next few months in conjunction with other lands in the locality.
