Written Answers. - State Borrowings.
As I indicated in my reply to the Deputy on 29 October 1980 the National Debt (i.e. the debt of Central Government excluding semi-State bodies, local bodies, health boards and other Government bodies) is estimated at £7,200 million on 30 September 1980. The estimated annual interest on that debt is £735 million.
