Vol. 325 No. 7

Written Answers. - Reconstruction Grants.

424.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

The application in this case was for a special grant to reduce dependence on oil. As the work started before 1 June 1979 the application was rejected. However, an inspection is now being arranged with a view to ascertaining whether certain works carried out by the applicant in conjuction with his solid-fuel installation qualify for a house improvement grant. If so, the appropriate grant will be paid.

425.

A grant will be paid if an inspection confirms that work has been satisfactorily completed and is in order for payment. The inspection will be arranged as soon as possible.
