asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht if she is aware of the urgent necessity for Government action to safeguard the jobs of workers in factories at Tourmakeady and Na Muingí, Belmullet, County Mayo; if she is further aware that 16 workers have received redundancy notices to date; and the action she proposes to take to restore these jobs and safeguard the jobs of others employed at these centres.

Tuigim ó Údarás na Gaeltachta go bhfuil deacrachtaí margaíochta ag an tionscal atá á reachtáil sna háiteanna sin agus i nGaeltacht Chorcaí ag an bhfochomhlacht Cniotáil Ghaeltarra Teoranta agus gur tharla caillteanais mhóra le cúpla bliain anuas.
