The total of royalties and fees received from mining companies from 1940 to end-November 1980 is £6.64 million. It would be contrary to secrecy obligations to disclose any information about the profits or liability to tax of a small group of companies. For that reason, I regret I cannot supply the other information requested by the Deputy.
