Details of State expenditure in relation to agriculture are given in the pre-budget tables issued annually by the Minister for Finance. The most recent table gives an estimated total of £183.869 million in 1980. I should, however, point out that this figure includes substantial items of a capital nature, schemes operated under EEC regulations and directives, education and research, advisory and inspection services, disease eradication administration, and so on.
