Vol. 325 No. 8

Written Answers. - Pollution Problem.

253.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the severe dust problem being caused by a loading hopper; if he is in a position to compel the company (details supplied) to erect a screen to combat the problem which is seriously affecting an area of a quarter of a mile radius of the plant; and if he will make a statement on this grave pollution problem.

The enforcement of the relevant regulations is a matter for the sanitary authority, in this case Dublin Corporation. I understand that complaints were made to the corporation who have been putting pressure on the company concerned to have the matter rectified.
