Vol. 325 No. 9

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take item No. 5. As I announced yesterday it is proposed that the Dáil will resume after the Christmas Recess on Tuesday, 27 January 1981 at 2.30 p.m. There will be no Questions today.

I should like to ask the Taoiseach if it is his intention to make any reference to the most recent bus strike in Dublin in view of the severe hardship being caused to the public. I should like to know if the Government propose to take any action to bring this chaos in industrial relations to an end.

That does not arise on the Order of Business. I am calling on the Taoiseach to move item No. 5.

Am I not entitled to ask the Taoiseach what proposals he has to bring the industrial relations chaos on the buses to an end?

Does the Deputy wish to raise a point of order?

On a point of order I should like to ask the Taoiseach the proposals he has to bring the industrial relations chaos on the buses to an end.

The Deputy is not entitled to raise that on the Order of Business.

Will the Taoiseach refer to it later?

I have informed the Deputy that he is not entitled to raise that on the Order of Business.

About a quarter of the people of this city are walking to work because of the industrial chaos.
