asked the Taoiseach the percentage change that has taken place in the seasonally adjusted output of manufacturing industry between the latest quarter for which figures are available and the preceding quarter; and the annualised percentage rate of change in output this represents.

The percentage change in the seasonally adjusted output of manufacturing industry between the second and third quarters of 1980 was -4.4 per cent.

The latest information relating to the change which has actually occurred over a 12-month period is an increase of +0.8 per cent for the year ending September 1980 relative to the year ending September 1979.
