Financial Resolution No. 2. - Financial Resolution No. 8: Excise Duties on Mechanically Propelled Vehicles.

I move:

(1) THAT section 1 (2) (b) of the Finance (Excise Duties) (Vehicles) Act, 1952 (No. 24 of 1952), be, as respects licences under that Act for periods beginning on or after the 1st day of March, 1981, amended by the substitution of “twenty pounds or less” for “ten pounds or less” (inserted by the Finance Act, 1980 (No. 14 of 1980)).

(2) IT is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 (No. 7 of 1927).

Question put: "That Financial Resolutions Nos. 7 and 8 be agreed."
