Vol. 326 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dublin Home Improvement Grants.

247.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will now arrange for the payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin in view of the facts of this case.

The grant cannot be paid until it is established that the necessary materials were purchased before 21 January 1980. When the applicant replies to my Department's letter of 4 December 1980 his case will be considered further.

248.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant will be paid to applicants (details supplied) in Dublin.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the work is eligible for a grant and has been satisfactorily completed. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

249.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

As the application was received subsequent to the statutory closing date of 1 February 1980 and evidence was not produced to show it was posted in time to reach my Department by that date, it had to be rejected. The applicant was notified to this effect on 19 March 1980.
