Vol. 326 No. 4

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

82.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the circumstances of a person (details supplied) in Dublin, he will grant priority to the application for a telephone service; and when service will be provided.

It is expected that service will be provided about the end of this year. Because of the volume of engineering work requiring attention in the Dublin area it will not, regrettably, be possible to provide service before then.

83.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a transfer of telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

It is expected that service will be provided within the next six months or so.

84.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone service will be restored to a person (details supplied) in Dublin whose telephone has been out of order for a considerable time.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that a person (details supplied) in Dublin who warrants priority consideration for a telephone service was not considered when other applications in the same area were met recently; and if it is now possible to provide service in this case.

I am aware that service has not been provided so far for this applicant; it will be provided in the near future.

92.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the proposed telephone kiosk will be erected at Whitechapel housing estate, Coolmine, County Dublin.

Within the next six months or so.

107.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is expected that a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin in view of the fact that she is confined to the house as a result of an accident.

Service to this applicant is dependent on provision of cable which, because of the volume of engineering work requiring attention is unlikely to be carried out for at least another year.
