Vol. 326 No. 4

Written Answers. - Factory Inspection.

271.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will state arising out of his reply to parliamentary question No. 374 of 21 October 1980 in relation to his predecessor's reference to matters arising out of the most recent inspection of a factory, the further steps that have been taken on these matters; the findings of the follow-up in this case; and the most recent developments.

Three contraventions of the Factories Act existed at the time of the then most recent inspection. The occupier of the factory has remedied one contravention and is remedying another. The third breach of the Act, which the owner of the premises is required to remedy, is still outstanding.
