(3) The number of cases where result originally awarded was altered on review was 164.

(4) An applicant for a higher education grant who qualifies for a grant on grounds of attainments as a result of a review of the original grade awarded to him in one or more subjects of the leaving certificate examination, may be awarded a grant if the other necessary conditions of the grants scheme are complied with by him.

(5) I understand that the procedure adopted by the Central Applications Office includes a provision for the reassessment of the applications of students whose revised results entitle them to consideration for a place on the basis of such revision of their original results. In some circumstances such students may be considered for places in courses from which successful applicants had withdrawn or for courses for which they did not register.
