9.

asked the Minister for Transport the names of the members of the task force set up to implement the recommendations of the Transport Consultative Commission's Report on Dublin's traffic problems; and the organisations which they each represent.

The members of the Dublin transportation task force are Mr. D.B. Fitzpatrick and Mr. T. Power of the Department of Transport, Mr. C. O'Doherty of the Department of the Environment, Mr. M. Neville of the Department of Finance, Mr. L. Breathnach of the Department of Justice, Mr. J. Keane of the Department of Labour, Deputy Commissioner L. Wren of the Garda Síochána and Mr. J. Prendergast Dublin Assistant and County Manager.

Is it not strange that there is no member of CIE on that task force?

CIE are involved in an operations group of the task force.

What consultations have the group with CIE?

The operations group are a very active sub-committee of the task force. They provide an input and they report back to the main task force.

Is the Minister aware that the board of CIE are offended because a member of CIE was not included?

I am not so aware.

I can tell the Minister that it is so.
