I propose to answer the Deputy's question in respect of the State bodies for which I am directly responsible and which engaged in borrowing for investment purposes under the Public Capital Programme in 1980. Information in respect of other State bodies might be sought from the appropriate Ministers.
Additional foreign borrowing over the estimated figure by the bodies in question, namely, the Industrial Credit Company Ltd. and the Agriculture Credit Corporation Ltd., was not due to internally generated funds being less than expected.
