Vol. 326 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Galway Vocational School.

88.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that Gairmscoil Colmcille, Aille Thiar, Indreabhán, Contae na Gaillimhe, was built in 1955 to accommodate 60 pupils and that it now has 115 pupils; and if he will provide the following improvements at an early date: (i) a teachers' room; (ii) four extra classrooms for general subjects; (iii) an assembly/sports hall; (iv) dressing rooms for boys and girls; (v) additional toilet facilities and (vi) playing fields, basketball court and other sports facilities.

An application for additional accommodation at Gairmscoil Indreabhán was received from the County Galway Vocational Committee on 4 February 1981. My Department will be writing to the committee at an early date for the purpose of having the necessary formal procedures initiated for a full review of the needs of the school.
