Figures of expenditure for the education services are prepared in the form set out in the Appropriation Accounts presented pursuant to section 7 of the Comptroller and Auditor General Act, 1923 (No. 1 of 1923). They are not prepared in the form specified in the question. A statement of the net total expenditure for each of the Votes, Secondary, Vocational and Higher Education for each of the years 1970-79 as given in the Appropriation Accounts is set out in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report. The Appropriation Accounts for 1980 are not yet available.
